Hispanic club raises funds for house-painting
Some of the apartments and town houses in the Morningside Complex in Carpentersville will soon look brand new. They are getting a fresh coat of paint, thanks to the efforts of the neighborhood council and a fund-raiser sponsored by the service group Corazones Latinas.With money raised from selling pillows and other items at a block party on Saturday, the residents plan to get to work improving the look of their homes.The block party will be held on Berkshire Circle from 1 to 8 p.m....
